From my "Sticks & Stone Recycled Metal Jewelry Collection"
Whew- this piece of jewelry took some time to make but so rewarding knowing I am recycling my scrap sterling silver metal and learning some of the old metalsmithing traits at the same time.
I took scrap sterling silver and melted it into a big silver blob, poured into a nugget shape so I could roll it through a mill and make the wire shapes. Lots of melting, filing, milling the wire, soldering the wire toghether and adding the 4mm sapphire round stones. Everything and I mean everything was hand melted and worked on this piece including the clasps and connectors. The bracelet is a simple design but somewhat complex in the creation- but I love the style and flow of the bracelet. This one is close to my heart!
